In 2002 Aaran Creece and Will Mather-Brown began work on a documentary that would take up the best part of three years and take them all over the world. The documentary is Troy’s Story and it’s an award winning biographical look at a world champion in motor sport Troy Bayliss.
Troy’s record is impressive with twenty three pole positions and forty eight victories. Troy is two times World Superbike Champion, and he won the British Superbike Championship in 1998. Troy is the only rider to have won a World Superbike race and a Moto GP race in the same year. He did that in 2006 having just claimed his second world title when he filled in for injured rider Sete Gibernau.
Troy‘s victories have come through a long and sometimes difficult association with iconic Italian manufacturer Ducati .
Troy in his first full year of Superbike racing for the factory Ducati team swept the competition aside to win the championship in 2001. This documentary follows Troy throughout his title defense in the 2002 World Superbike Championship and his move into Moto GP and back into World Superbikes where it all began
Troy is set to retire at the end of the 2008 season.
